Introduction

In the Pharmacy of Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Bansbari, all cardiac related drugs, perfusion disposables, rings and valve are available. It is located just by the side of our main gate. It is the one of the main source of income for the hospital. There is a pharmacy committee in our hospital which suggest for the selection of standard drugs which is guided by फार्मेसी ब्यबस्थापन निर्देशिका २०५९ . There is a computerized system for the pharmacy of SGNHC. Some drugs are available free of cost if recommended by the doctors of SGNHC. To control drug abuse, narcotics are made available on wards; it is not given to the patient party. More than 600 varieties of drugs are available in our pharmacy.

• Outdoor Pharmacy: 12 hours
• Store and ward supply pharmacy: 8 hours

Future Plan

Initiate therapeutic monitoring of drugs having narrow therapeutic index and inter-pharmacokinetic variables. Establishment of drug information centre. Initiate drug and cost related research activities. Drug counseling. Floor stock system. Initiate drug interaction surveillance program and implementation to reduce harms associated with it. Actively participate in infection pervention and antibiotic stewardship program. Initate inpatient unite dose distribution system. Establishment of pharmaceutical care, pharmacovigilance and their implementation.
