The department of Pediatric Cardiology in SGNHC is comitted to provide reliable diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with congenital and acquired heart diseases. Since the establishment as a unit in 2003, pediatric cardiology unit has steadily increased its services so as to provide a holistic management options to these children.

We provide a wide range of diagnostic procedures ranging from Electrocardiography, Echocardiography, Cardiac Computed Tomography and Cardiac Catheterization. We are also doing fetal Echocardiography routinely for antenatal diagnosis and management of cardiac illness in utero.

Similarly, therapeutic interventions such as percutaneous device closure of shunt lesions (ASD, VSD and PDA), balloon valvotomy of stenotic valves (aortic, pulmonary and mitral) along with emergency procedures including PDA stenting and balloon atrial septostomy are being done by our dedicated pediatric intervention team.
